The mission of America’s Test Kitchen (ATK) is to empower and inspire confidence, community, and creativity in the kitchen. Founded in 1992, the company is the leading multimedia cooking resource serving millions of fans with TV shows (America’s Test Kitchen, Cook's Country, and America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation), award-winning magazine (Cook’s Illustrated) and limited-edition newsstand issues, cookbooks, a podcast (Proof), FAST channels, short-form video series, and the ATK Essential Membership for digital content. Based in a state-of-the-art 15,000-square-foot test kitchen in Boston’s Seaport District, ATK has earned the trust of home cooks and culinary experts alike thanks to its one-of-a-kind processes and best-in-class techniques. Fifty full-time (admittedly very meticulous) test cooks, editors, and product testers spend their days tweaking every variable to find the very best recipes, equipment, ingredients, and techniques. The perks of the job include more than surprise calls to sample recipes in development (“Need tasters for Chocolate-Caramel Layer Cake in the on-set kitchen!”).
We also keep the whole team happy with some special perks:
Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day Break - The whole company powers down for a winter break. No vacation time needed and no one comes back to a full email in-box!
Take-Home Fridge - What’s inside . . . a slice of pie, ingredients for a salmon dinner, both? You never know.
Free Copies of Publications - Get a selection of our iconic cooking magazines and cookbooks (we publish 10+ each year) before they hit stores.
Equipment Giveaways - Employees circle this date on our calendars each year. Score equipment we’ve used for product testing, from high-end blenders and stand mixers to knives and cookware.
Dogs at work - They make us happy and more productive, and they make sure we take regular work breaks. Win, win, win!
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a farm-to-table dining experience and a leading voice in the sustainable food movement. Led by chef and author Dan Barber and partners David and Laureen Barber, we have been perennially regarded as one of the world’s most exciting and innovative places to eat, cook, and explore since our opening in 2004.
We are located on and partner closely with the Stone Barns Center, an 80-acre working farm in Pocantico Hills, New York. Together, Blue Hill and Stone Barns Center form a passionate research and education community seeking to develop a regional eating culture driven by the needs of the land.
Our story began with a family farm in the Berkshires. Today, we’ve grown into Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Family Meal in New York City, a casual Cafeteria, and a marketplace. If you are interested in joining the team, please explore open positions through our website.
