Our story begins in 2004, when Michael Jon Designs opened its doors to the trade in Vernon, California. With a vast collection of in-stock contemporary and traditional styles, patterns and colors carrying the “MJD” trademark, our vision was to become a leading resource of quality decorative fabrics to the home furnishings industry, design trade and hospitality market. Michael John Designs is the progeny DBA of well-known and respected supplier to the home furnishings industry, Morgan Fabrics Corporation. Since its founding in 1956, Morgan Fabrics, now a third generation family business, has grown from a local distributor to one of the most formidable fabric converters, supplying some of the largest and most well-known manufacturers of upholstered furniture both domestically and internationally. Access to Morgan’s production facilities and capabilities allows us to expand upon design concepts without limitation in order to meet the needs of the ever-evolving design community.
