MHG Information

MHG is a privately held, family owned manufacturing business founded in 1970. The group manufactures and supplies a diverse range of products to the automotive, medical, consumer, packaging, building and construction sectors. MHG has a number manufacturing sites across the eastern seaboard of Australia. It employs approximately 250 people. The group’s foundations were laid as a leading tier 1 supplier of plastics and glass components to the Australian automotive industry for 40 years until closure of the industry in late 2017. MHG had been the recipient of multiple global supplier awards from Ford Motor Company, Toyota Motor Corporation and General Motors. As part of the group’s transition post the cessation of the vehicle production in Australia, MHG acquired Flat Glass Industries (FGI) www.flatglass.com.au. FGI is one of Australia’s largest and most innovative glass processors supplying the architectural, building, residential and commercial markets with industry leading glass products. In 2019, coinciding with the transformation of the group's Geelong facility, the FGI business was rebranded to SOLOS Glass www.solosglass.com.au.
