MFF & CO is a Los Angeles-based global entertainment studio. We develop and produce stories to make life better. Together with Maria Farinha Filmes, based in São Paulo, and Violet Films, based in London, we create powerful narratives for large audiences worldwide. The company originated from the international expansion of Maria Farinha Filmes, a leading impact entertainment company in Latin America. Maria Farinha is behind the hit series Aruanas, created by founding partners Estela Renner and Marcos Nisti, and the groundbreaking documentary franchise The Beginning of Life, written and directed by Renner. Since 2007, the company has produced more than 50 titles that use storytelling to spark dialogue and fuel real-world change. Our diverse slate is designed to resonate deeply with local audiences while boasting universal appeal. Miura Kite, formerly of Participant Media, serves as President of Global Content, and MFF & CO also holds a stake in Violet Films, the four-time Academy Award–nominated production company founded by Oscar® winning filmmaker Joanna Natasegara.
