Vi er en viktig samfunnsaktør som bidrar til å gjøre hovedstadsområdet til et attraktivt område å bo, arbeide og feriere i. For å lykkes også i fremtiden må vi supplere tradisjonell kollektivtrafikk med nye tjenester og løsninger. Disse utvikler vi i samarbeid med kunder og samarbeidspartnere. Daglig foretas det mer enn én million reiser med Ruters tilbud, det tilsvarer 55 % av kollektivtrafikken i Norge. Vi er ca 300 ansatte, har en omsetning ca 8,5 milliarder og holder til i Oslo sentrum. Ruter eies av Oslo kommune (60 %) og Akershus fylkeskommune (40 %).
