New England Conservatory educates and trains musicians of all ages from around the world, drawing on the talent and deep reservoir of experience of our distinguished faculty. We are dedicated to inculcating the highest standards of excellence and nurturing individual artistic sensibility and creative growth. Understanding that music is one of the transcendent expressions of human civilization, NEC aspires to ensure a central place in contemporary society.

Since 1975, Opera Philadelphia has been Philadelphia’s professional opera company, performing at the historic Academy of Music, the Kimmel Center’s contemporary and intimate Perelman Theater, and across the city during our Festival O, which launched in 2017. The Opera strives to deliver outstanding productions of both traditional and exciting new works that resonate with the community; to identify, cultivate, and cast rising young talent alongside internationally-acclaimed singers; and to present innovative programs that educate, broaden, deepen, and diversify the opera audience, both in Philadelphia and beyond.

Founded in 1976, Boston Lyric Opera is New England’ s largest opera company. Led by Acting General & Artistic Director Bradley Vernatter, BLO is celebrated for its artistic excellence and diverse repertoire. BLO’ s programs are funded in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
