Metropolitan Division Information

We have a lot going on: Exclusive division cars and engines in the METCA Store; METCA train shows, Meet & Greets at local hobby shops; social events, parties, and even the occasional train ride. While Covid undoubtedly put a crimp in our plans for anniversary events, we're now moving full-steam ahead with arrangements for meets, outings and other festivities later this year and into 2022. Be sure to keep an eye on the Meets & Events page for updates. Jump right in and join us for a great time with great train folks. I'm pleased and proud to be taking the reins of the METCA division this year - and a bit awed to be following in such illustrious footsteps: Our immediate former division presidents, Stuart Rankin and Kevin Quinn are now serving as the national TCA President and Vice president respectively! I tip my hat to both. Stu and Kev have worked tirelessly to promote TCA and this hobby we all love. METCA has thrived, grown, and achieved remarkable financial stability under their extraordinary leadership. They're a tough act to follow. I have a lot of plans for METCA, and hope to build on their achievements. But most important, I'd like to find more ways for toy train lovers from across our division to come together, get to know each other better, swap yarns, (and maybe swap some rolling stock while we're at it). I got back into this hobby relatively late in life. But I quickly discovered that the most rewarding part isn't the collecting or layouts. It's the amazing friends I've made over the past decade. I've found these crazy grownups who still play with toy trains to be some of the warmest, friendliest folks on the planet. METCA isn't the website or the 'club,' METCA is you - the members.
