MetaMusic Information

MetaMusic is an independent not-for-profit organization, founded in July 2020 by ADISQ, APEM, ARTISTI, CQM, GMMQ, SOCAN, SOPROQ, SPACQ and UDA, whose mandate is to bring together key players of the music industry with respect to metadata to think and act in order to maximize the potential for discoverability of music content in Canada. After having created a common set of metadata in the form of a best practices guide available at metamusic.ca, MetaMusic is working on the development of technological initiatives to facilitate the use of music metadata, from entering to sharing.
