The Met-Net MAN service provides high-speed LAN-to-LAN connectivity between enterprise locations in a metro at speeds from 1 Mbps to 1 Gbps over our Ethernet all-fiber optic network. These can be locations within a single enterprise, between an enterprise and its suppliers and customers, between enterprises and data centers, POPs, COs or carrier hotels and other service provider networks. The customer connects to the Met-Net network using a standard Ethernet interface on their existing router, hub or switch. Bandwidth is customer controlled and instantly scalable in 1 Mbps increments. The solution is extremely reliable over Met-Net’s diverse fiber rings and versatile, giving customers control of which connections they want to make with whom, with what quality of service, for how long and at what bandwidth, via a web interface or telephone. The service provides best in class Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for availability, latency, jitter, on-time installation, packet delivery, failover and service change intervals. \r\n\r\nOur Met-Net NET service provides high-speed Internet access to Tier One Internet backbones at transmission rates of 1 Mbps to 1Gbps. The service uses the same Ethernet port and network used for Met-Net MAN, and, like Met-Net MAN, the service is customer controlled, adjustable in 1Mbps increments within seconds, reliable, very high performance and has outstanding Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The customer gives Met-Net a standard Ethernet port on a hub, switch or router, and Met-Net manages the rest.. \r\n\r\nThis multi-megabit Ethernet technology promises an economical, business-class service-level solution for enterprise customers that require low cost connectivity. Met-Net over Copper lets us satisfy business bandwidth needs by simply bonding multiple copper pairs together.
