Merz Construction builds custom homes and carefully integrated renovations across Greater Boston, the Minuteman Corridor, and Metrowest. Founded by Jonathan Merz in 1986, we have spent four decades building classic and contemporary homes for homeowners and architects throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Our approach is collaborative and architect-led. We take pride in leading and managing the team, and we appreciate the knowledge and perspective great architects bring to the design and construction process. Over four decades we have developed a finely tuned process that cultivates open communication among owner, architect, and construction team, and ensures that each project is not only successful, but exceptional. We serve as advocates for homeowners and build a strong partnership with the design team, subcontractors, and vendors, so that every home we deliver joins the homeowner's vision with the architect's design intent. Recognition includes Best of Boston Home for High-End Remodeling (2019), a Silver PRISM Award for Best Design for Outdoor Living from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (2015), and an Honor Award for Design Excellence from the Boston Society of Architects (2010). Our work has been featured in New England Home, Boston Design Guide, Boston Globe Magazine, and Boston Magazine. Services include new custom home construction, whole-house renovation, additions, historic and period-home renovation, and preconstruction and construction management.
