Merrimack Design Associates, LLC Architects, provides comprehensive architectural services for residential, institutional and commercial clients. Our practice is built on over 25 years of practical experience designing homes around Boston and throughout the Northeast. We draw on regional building traditions to design sensitive contextual buildings in harmony with their surroundings, while creating custom-tailored designs reflecting our clients' individual needs and desires. We specialize in the preservation and restoration of historic buildings, and seamlessly integrate old and new when renovation or addition becomes necessary to suit contemporary lifestyles. Our work is grounded in architectural history, classical composition and proportion, and knowledge of craft and the traditional building arts. Our commitment to these core principles is rooted in our concern for the finite resources of our world. Our studio is located in the Merrimack River Valley in the historic Henschel carriage factory in Amesbury.
