Worldwide, Logistics Parks and Free Trade Zones (FTZs) or Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have proved to be drivers of economic growth and competitiveness for countries like Brazil, China, Dubai, India, Ireland and Korea among others. Meridian 100°´s, Free Trade Zone at Port Laredo, North America´s Logistics Heart The Port Laredo region represents for both México and the United States their most important land port and is one of the most dynamic borders in the world for goods exchange since almost 5 million TEUs, equivalent to 45% trade among the two countries, cross through this region every year. For the year 2020 the movement of goods between North America and Asia is forecast to experience robust growth in the range of 200% to 400%.
