The Australian Wine Connection was established in 1992, a pioneer in the Australian wine importing business in the United States. The first wines were from founder, Deborah Gray's family's vineyard and thus the desire to represent smaller, family-owned vineyards was born. Today, The Australian Wine Connection maintains offices in Carlsbad with a knowledgeable and helpful staff and sells through its distributor network in 28 states and growing. Philosophy - The vision to represent high quality wines remains strong, seeking out only those additions that will enhance and elevate the portfolio. Our philosophy is to develop and grow a balanced wine portfolio representing small to mid-sized vineyards and ensure that the wines are complementary to one another, so that we are able to do justice to each brand we represent. We seek long term relationships with our distributors and take pride in the strong partner component we bring to those relationships. It is a collaborative process designed to promote and build the brands for mutual success. The ANZ Wine Connection, under the umbrella of The Australian Wine Connection, Inc. has introduced award-winning wines from New Zealands famed Marlborough region and newly emerging areas such as Central Otago. Many wines are made in very limited quantity, but brought to the United States to offer the best of the region or to introduce a wine that is an exciting opportunity for the discerning palate.
