Mercaptor is a privately held clinical-stage company with a proprietary drug design platform in the field of neurology. The company was founded in October 2016 by a team of scientists who discovered an injury-activated molecule with the potential to mitigate brain damage when used prophylactically and to treat many neurodegenerative diseases. The team took a leap of faith and became a self-seeded enterprise with a clear goal: adapting their discovery to treat debilitating conditions of the brain.
