Mental Nesting Information

Mental Nesting provides online mental health coaching and between-session support for therapy-experienced women aged 25-44 who understand their patterns but struggle to change them in real-time. Founded in 2024 by Barbara Guimaraes, LMSW—a licensed therapist working full-time in telehealth—Mental Nesting fills the gap between therapy appointments when insights disappear and triggers hit. What We Offer: Homecoming, our flagship coaching program, provides daily support for women who need implementation help, not more insight. This includes weekly 1:1 video coaching calls, daily check-ins, unlimited messaging support when triggers hit, and curriculum on nervous system regulation, boundary-setting, and self-trust building. The Nest community on Skool offers a safe space to show up authentically without performing healing. Members share real struggles, celebrate small wins therapists never see, and support each other through the messy middle. Mental Nesting Podcast and Substack explore what happens when your body says yes and you meant no, how sensitivity becomes precision, navigating people-pleasing patterns, and building self-trust after trauma. Who We Serve: Therapy-experienced women who know WHY they people-please but still say yes. Who freeze when they need to speak up. Who spiral between sessions with nowhere to turn. Who need someone in their pocket when life tests them. We work with LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent women, highly sensitive people, and anyone tired of understanding themselves without trusting themselves. Our Approach: Mental Nesting bridges therapy insights into daily practice through coaching support (not therapy) that complements existing mental health treatment. We specialize in anxiety coaching, boundary coaching, nervous system regulation, people-pleasing recovery, emotional regulation, and self-trust building for women navigating relationship patterns, work boundaries, family dynamics, and life transitions.
