Founded in 1916, Mendes & Mount LLP is one of the largest firms in the country devoted exclusively to the practice of insurance law. Indeed, our role in such maritime settlements connected to vessels known as the Brittania, the Speedwell, the Powhattan, and the Lusitania expanded to such notable non-marine events as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge Collapse (1940), the Great Salad Oil Swindle (1963) the Staten Island Tank Explosion (1973) and infamous J. David Domenelli ponzi scheme (1984).
