MemoryAid is an Australian startup, founded to create evidence-based, empowering technology to support people living with dementia and other forms of cognitive decline. Built on cognitive science research into memory, identity, and everyday functioning, MemoryAid develops purpose-built tools that help people stay connected, maintain routines, and feel more confident at home. Our approach prioritises familiarity, simplicity, and dignity, designing technology that works with people’s existing skills rather than asking them to adapt to complex digital systems. Our flagship product, launching in 2026, is a dedicated home communication and prompting device that combines a highly familiar physical interface with a simple visual display, supporting video calls, daily activities, and meaningful connection with family and carers. It has been developed through extensive co-design with people living with dementia, family carers, and aged-care providers, built WITH and FOR people with dementia to use for whatever matters to them. Our goal is to translate world-class research into practical, humane solutions that genuinely improve everyday life.
