The MMLLC team is specialized and trained to dedicate their time to specific parts of the design process. The design team at MMLLC consists of the following people and talents:Melodie Miller - Design Director 206 855 9533 melodie@melodiemiller.com - Melodie has 25 years experience designing and managing the development of product in the outdoor and sportswear industry. Most recent experience consists of 4 years as owner operator of MMLLC, with a client base whose sales range from $6M to $500M annual retail sales. Melodie says she earned an honorary PhD from REI with 8 years as Design Manager - developing apparel product producing $1 Billion in retail sales over a 10 year period. Kurt Gray - Merchandiser/Fabric Specialist/Product Trainer 303 641 6556 kgray@bouldernews.infi.net - Kurt has 25 years combined experience in the outdoor industry as a retailer manager, buyer, production manager, merchandiser and designer. He now has 4 years invested as owner operator of an independent consulting business. Kurt focuses product and fabric training seminars, collection merchandising and directing product development for the outdoor market. Clients have included Hard Corps Sports, Helly Hansen, Boulder Gear, Fila, Kelty, Lowe Alpine and Salomon. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, making him the scientific expert on the team. Cindy Molt - Designer 206 855 9014 cindy@melodiemiller.com - Cindy is a graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Communications, with 19 years combined experience as an apparel and graphics designer. Her clients have included Eddie Bauer, Fast Clothing, Union Bay, Pacific Trail and Satisfied Sports among others. Cindy has been working with MMLLC for 3 years. Kristen Chandler - Technical Designer 206 780 9958 kristen@melodiemiller.com - Kristen is a graduate of Seattle Central CC Apparel Design Program, with 7 years experience as a technical designer, technical sketcher, fit technician and pattern maker. She has been working with MMLLC for 3, and has 5 years to her credit with REI. Kristen is the "Glue" at MMLLC. Gail Ross- Production and Sourcing Goddess 303 417 1816 gail_ross@hotmail.com - Gail is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with a BS in Recreation Resource Management with emphasis in outdoor education. Gail has been a professional guide working with at risk youth programs. Gail has 18 years of experience in the apparel industry developing and producing product. Nikole Rock - Technical Designer and Fit Technician 206 855 9521 nikole@melodiemiller.com - Nikole holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Furniture design and brings a structural knowledge to apparel design. She has vast experience in importing and exporting, and is the fine artist in the team. Nikole has been working with MMLLC for two years. Debbie McMullen - Technical Designer and Fit Technician 206 780 5498 debbie@melodiemiller.com - Debbie is a Graduate of Washington State University and holds a degree in Merchandising and Textiles. She is also a graduate of Seattle Central CC Apparel Design Program and has 3 years experience as a Technical Designer, working to develop a wide variety of products from neoprene CD carriers, Gore-Tex and patented products. Debbie has been working with MMLLC for two years. Becky Seliga - Technical Designer 206 368 8669 becky@melodiemiller.com - Becky is the historian at MMLLC, with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in History from Willamette University. She also holds an Associates of Arts degree from Seattle Central CC Apparel Design program. Becky has 8 years experience; 6 years with REI, 3 years with MMLLC, as a technical designer, technical sketcher, print developer and development lead. Jay Rowland - Financial Director/Business Manager 360 598 4770, fax 360 779 3425 info@melodiemiller.com - Jay holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Seattle University and a Bachelors of Arts Degree from University of Puget Sound. Jay's focus is on the daily business operations and financial dealings, everything from ordering file folders to managing the working capital for the design firm. This allows the design team to maximize the return on your investment by focusing on designing and developing your product. A graduate of Oregon State University, he is trained and specializes in computer networking and handles all of the daily computer needs and questions of MMLLC.
