Melba Swintex is a leading UK manufacturer of Temporary Traffic Management and Safety Solutions, with a manufacturing heritage stretching back more than 50 years. Based in Lancashire, we design and manufacture an extensive range of traffic cones, pedestrian barriers, temporary signage systems, water-filled barriers, trench covers, fencing products and other safety solutions used across the highways, utilities, construction, facilities management and events sectors. Innovation has been at the heart of our business for generations. From Swintex manufacturing some of the UK's earliest traffic cones in 1959, through to the development of pioneering products including the two-part traffic cone, blow-moulded pedestrian barrier and Q-Sign, we have continually developed practical solutions to challenges faced by the industries we serve. Today, we combine this experience with modern manufacturing technology, automation and an ongoing commitment to sustainability. Around 90% of our product range is manufactured using recycled material, with many products designed to be fully recyclable at the end of their working life. Our Closed-Loop Recycling scheme further supports this approach by recovering end-of-life products and returning material back into the manufacturing process. From our manufacturing facility in Ramsbottom and new distribution facility in Rossendale, we work in partnership with distributors across the UK and internationally, combining British manufacturing, technical expertise and continued innovation to deliver reliable products built for the real world.
