Woolies Exceptional Quality™ is the driving force of every decision we make, product we sell and customer we serve. Our values inform what we stand for and underpin everything we do. And our duty to leave the world and our community in a better place than we found it means that sustainability, transparency and ethical practices sit at the heart of our business.
Join us and our creative, innovative, passionate and dedicated 34 000 strong staff on our journey to be a leading retailer in the southern hemisphere.
We strive to use every part of the tree to make world-class products for customers in over 150 countries. From paper and pulp to cosmetics, medicine and more, we are driving the bio-based circular economy alongside our partners to help build a thriving, more sustainable world.
We operate woodfibre manufacturing facilities on three continents (ten production facilities in Western Europe, four in North America and five in Southern Africa). Our scale magnifies our impact. Every year we produce 5.7 million tons of paper, 2.4 million tons of paper pulp, and 1.4 million tons per year of dissolving pulp.
The success of our business is built on the ingenuity, energy and tenacity of more than 11,400 employees spread across 35+ countries. We champion our people, and the unique qualities they bring. Every idea, collaboration and perspective creates breakthroughs for us all — on the path to a better future. A career at Sappi is an opportunity to put down roots where it matters.

Nampak is evolving into a focused metals packaging business. With manufacturing facilities in South Africa and Angola, we supply trusted products and excellent service to a broad range of customers. We are a publicly owned entity whose shares have been listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange for 56 years.
Our business going forward will be focused on producing aluminium and tinplate cans. In South Africa and Angola, we are the largest manufacturer of beverage cans. We have substantial positions in other metal packaging in South Africa and are the only producer of two-piece tinplate cans and aluminium monobloc aerosol cans in our home market. We are the sole manufacturer of beverage cans in Angola.
We promote the recyclability of our products and continue to reduce the weight of our products and, in so doing, their environmental impact.
Nampak has been positioned to be a high-quality, market-leading business with distinctive capabilities, operating in a defensive market segment with sustainable growth characteristics, underpinned by a blue-chip customer base.
