Our menopause doctors are Dr Theodora Kalentzi, an experienced British Menopause Society Accredited Menopause Specialist and GP; Dr Ashlesha Dhairyawan, a women’s health specialist and GP who holds the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care, and Dr Niki Davies a very experienced GP with a special interest in the menopause. You will be given time to discuss your symptoms and concerns in detail. You will have a full assessment, which may include blood tests. We will go through with you the risks of osteoporosis, cardiovascular events and breast cancer and what can be done to reduce these risks. We will discuss management options. This will include, what you can do for yourself and the range of treatments available including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), body identical hormone therapies and alternative treatments. We will go through their benefits and any associated risks. We will explore with you what suits you best based on your background history, symptoms, beliefs and lifestyle. Not one treatment works the same for every woman nor one size fits all. Sometimes you may need to try 2 or 3 treatments to find the one best suited to you. Our objective is to help you take control of your symptoms in the most suitable and safe way. The overall aim is to find the option that feels right and works for you.
