Patients Out of Time is the preeminent organization for cannabis education in the U.S. Since 2000, Patients Out of Time has sponsored biennial conferences with international faculty that have attracted the finest cannabis researchers from around the globe including those cited by Dr. Gupta. Patients Out of Time's next clinical cannabis conference will be held in May 2014 in Portland, Oregon. Recently Patients Out of Time has begun sponsoring seminars in the 20 states and DC that have approved cannabis for medical purposes. The next seminar is scheduled for September 13, 2013 in Lansing, Michigan. These seminars offer continuing education units for nurses and other medical professionals. Dr. Aggarwal notes that Dr. Gupta and other health care professionals can learn about medical cannabis and the endocannabinoid system by taking online accredited courses on the topic such as those from Patients Out of Time's accredited conference series.
