Medic One was founded in 2012 by Mark Salmon and Rik Thomas to create a bespoke patient management and research database for pre-hospital care. Our primary product, HEMSbase, is a multi-purpose clinical database, but we also specialise in using IT to improve work-flow, information governance and clinical quality. Mark and Rik met at medical school in 1998, and since then have collaborated on several academic and commercial projects including on-line exam courses and a popular anaesthesia podcast.
