Medibiome AB is an independent contract research laboratory founded in 2010 by Dr. Kristina Blom. Medibiome offers alternative methods to animal studies to meet the needs of manufacturers from a wide range of businesses looking to outsource their research and development activities We understand the requirements for product development based on our own experiences from product development within the pharma and medical device industries. Based in Mölndal, Sweden, Medibiome facilitates work with cell lines, synthetic and human derived tissues, both anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms, as well as multiresistant pathogens and biofilms. Our areas of expertise are microbial analyses including biofilm studies, wound healing, and soft tissue interactions with biomaterials such as implants, and biocompatibility. Medibiome conducts its own research to build valuable knowledge on novel alternative methods that can support our customers’ projects. In November 2011, the company was certified to comply with the norms of quality and environmental management systems: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
