The largest provider of relationship support in England and Wales, and part of the national charity Family Action.
Every year, we support millions of people to build stronger, healthier relationships through counselling and therapy, trusted self-help resources, and expert training for relationship support practitioners.
Established in 1982, National Family Mediation (NFM) was the original provider of family mediation, and its network of accredited services now delivers in over 500 locations across England and Wales.
We help families resolve all the practical, legal, emotional and financial issues that arise from separation, helping families make long-lasting arrangements that benefit everyone in the family, especially their children.
We also train family mediators by giving them a comprehensive and inclusive set of skills and knowledge to work in this field. With expert trainers and small group sizes, it is unrivalled and unmatched by any other training currently on the market today.
A cornerstone of our success is our commitment to professional standards and the delivery of professional services. So our priority is the training of highly skilled practitioners who deliver a high-quality service for families affected by relationship breakdown.
Resolution’s 6,500 members are family lawyers, mediators and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of divorce, separation and family disputes. Our members follow a Code of Practice championing a non-confrontational approach to family law.
Resolution encourages solutions that consider the needs of the whole family - and in particular the best interests of children.
