Media Literacy Development Foundation is a non-profit organisation registered in Ghana to develop media literacy and entrepreneurial skills in young people from underserved communities to advance democratic inclusion. Our mission is to build an understanding of the role of media in society, along with essential skills of inquiry, critical thinking, analysis, self-expression and creativity necessary for youth development and democratic inclusion. The foundation launched the Zongo Media project in 2019 to harness the power of Zongo youth through media literacy and entrepreneurial skills to enable them to generate and share their knowledge and experiences, participate in discourse and decision-making, and strengthen their communities. Other projects of the foundation include the Ghana Media Club and the Junior Journalists and Communicators Club (J2C2).
