Mecsider Information

Mecsider, a company of Refit group (established in 1944 and specialised in the field of steel forming and transforming), is on the European market with a wide range of steel products designed and manufactured in different factories based in Northern Italy at the Alps mountains feet. Mecsider shapes deformed rebars for concrete, cold rolled profiles (in virtually any geometric form), heavy ribs and lattice girders, tunnel and bridges formworks, steel structures, and is able to supply as well drawn steels, cables and wire strand for pre-stressed concrete. Our technical department is able to satisfy the client's requirements in terms of innovating steel solutions, thanks to the vast field experience gained in different situations such as underground constructions , industrial supplies and design, manufacturing and installation of monuments. Mecsider in the last 25 years supplied the main European private and public clients (FS, SNCF, SBB, OBB, BEG, ASF, ESCOTA, Area, Autostrade spa, CERN, Ministère de la Défense Nationale, Ministère de la Marine and many others). Mecsider is a member of the french association for underground works (Aftes) and of the work groups for lattice girders and metallic formworks for tunnel estabilished by CETU (Centre for Studies of Tunnels).
