Mechanics Plus Towing and Transport, Inc. takes great pride in its on going effort to fight cancer. In 2004, our team raised over $9000.00 for cancer research, advocacy, support and local patient services. We are proud to participate in our towns annual Relay for Life. Our many fund raising events included bake sales, raffles, a craft show, bachelor auction, soy candle sales and donations. Since 2004, we still strive to make Relay for Life an event that we participate in and take great pride in watching it grow into a major community event. Our business also participates and donates to many school and community activities. We enjoy helping local schools by donating to such events as Basket Bingo, various High School Athletic Departments and Youth Associations sporting events to name a few. In the community, we have contributed to the local pool for "Family Fun" night, a Women's Golf Tournament which raises money to fight cancer, various car club events which donate money raised to needy family's and organizations. We have donated scrap cars to local fire companies for training purposes on how to extricate victims during an accident. When it comes to fall fun, we are ready to howl with the best! We proudly donate our trailers to the local Boy Scouts of America for use in the Halloween Parade! We also are proud to donate our trailer for a Motorcycle and ATV safety float that is decorated by Tri City Powersports and participates in various Halloween Parades. We have done several demonstrations at a local pre-school and grade school on driving safety tips as well as show the children towing equipment and how to stay safe during a vehicle break down on the road. Not only does our business donate its time, money and equipment, but our employees as individuals are very active in the community as well. We have several volunteer firefighters on our team. We also have an employee that was a puppy raiser for the Seeing Eye. We have moms that donate their time at their church's and children's schools as well. Our business is to serve others both at work and home. As a small family business, our community, schools, employees and their families are part of our extended family. What affects them, affects us as well. Whenever possible, we get involved and pitch in. it's the American way!
