MEC is an annual student run competition organized through the McMaster Engineering Society (MES) and the McMaster Faculty of Engineering. Every year MEC brings together the best and brightest engineering students across all years and disciplines. MEC is an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience in all facets of engineering. This competition is meant to encourage students to be resourceful in high-pressure situations to solve complex problems. These challenges test students with their communication and time management skills, along with their understanding of Engineering principles. This year's competition theme is Ethical Engineering, a concept relevant to all practicing engineers. Through clever problem-solving skills and effective communication, each team will apply their technical expertise towards a creative solution.
