MCM Information

MCM was founded in 1985 by proprietor Michael C. Mello. After spending time in public accounting, learning the complexities of the regulatory environment and earning his Certified Public Accountant license, Michael elected to serve the small and medium enterprise market in the New England area. This not only allowed him to be closer to his family, but also to be closer to his clients, which has always been central to the mission of MCM. The focus of MCM today remains providing that focused customer service to enable our clients across a variety of their accounting, tax and business advisory needs. Our team of tenured professionals provides a range of services to our clients from maintaining their accounting books and records, to compilations and reviews, through tax advice and preparation. In 2020, Michael's son, Christopher, joined MCM. As a former Partner at KPMG, Christopher is also a Certified Public Accountant and adds a business advisory competency to MCM's valued portfolio of services. Christopher specializes in helping organizations establish an accounting or finance function, assists in acquisitions or dispositions of entities and provides accounting and finance automation through selection and implementation of enabling technologies. Together, our team of professionals is able to provide a wide range of professional services with a focus on treating our clients like our family.
