Slade McLaughlin and Paul Lauricella are experienced personal injury, medical malpractice & sexual abuse trial lawyers, whose combined legal careers span over 60 years; including the more than four combined decades they spent at The Beasley Firm in Philadelphia, where iconic, legendary trial attorney, James Beasley, Sr., mentored them for decades prior to his death in 2004. Mr. McLaughlin has been listed in each edition of “The Best Lawyers in America” since 2003, was honored as one of Pennsylvania’s “Super Lawyers” in Philadelphia Magazine’s “Super Lawyers 2004" supplement (top 100 in 2005 and 2006; top 10 in 2007; top 100 in 2008; top 10 in 2009; top 100 in 2010), is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (with special competence in medical professional liability), and has been admitted to membership by the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Lauricella has been a trial attorney since 1982. Out of law school, he worked as an assistant district attorney, where he tried and convicted violent criminals. In 1987, Paul brought his trial experience to The Beasley Firm, where he spent 24 years as an associate and as a partner. Paul has secured million and multimillion dollar verdicts in medical negligence actions involving a wide variety of specialties, including obstetrics/gynecology, emergency medicine, radiology, psychiatry, orthopedic surgery, urology, family practice, and even oral surgery. Smart, principled, and hard working, Slade and Paul built their well-deserved reputations on their courtroom victories, not on television commercials. They have personally secured dozens of million dollar and multi-million dollar personal injury and medical negligence jury verdicts and settlements often in cases in which the defendants had made no offers to resolve the case.
