McGilvra Engineering was founded in 1995 as an engineering outreach program from the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL). National laboratories encourage their engineers to reach out to transfer publicly funded technology to the private sector. This soon grew into a full-time endeavor. Today we still have ties with the NSCL but operate as an independent company. Our R&D roots enable us to look at projects a little differently than most engineering firms. We look at the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines - electrical, mechanical, optical, manufacturing, and even marketing - to make sure that you and your customers are getting the most from what technology has to offer today.
