McDowell Eye Care Information

During this time, we ask that you please respect and follow our new guidelines to ensure a healthy visit to McDowell Eye Care. Things will look a bit different when you come see us. Procedures will run a bit differently as well. Our changes are based on recommendations made by the CDC. Entry into the building is by appointment only. We are limiting the number of visitors in the office at any given time, and anyone entering the building (including staff) is required to wear a face mask and pass a health screening. Please call 810-714-2020 to request an appointment for any reason you would normally come inside, e.g. eye examination, picking up glasses or contacts, adjustments to glasses, or shopping. When you arrive at MEC, please remain in your vehicle, and call or text 810-714-2020. If you have an appointment, you will be instructed to stay in your vehicle until a staff member comes to greet you at your scheduled time. If you arrive without an appointment, we can schedule one for you. At your request, we will dispense glasses or contacts you have purchased curb side without an appointment. Some repairs can be done without an appointment, but entry into the building for any reason requires an appointment. If you have a fever, cough, flu symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please reschedule your appointment. Please bring with you a mask or face covering. Please wear it during your entire visit. Our staff will be wearing masks. We will take your temperature using a touchless forehead thermometer when you arrive. Our staff will have their temperatures taken each day. Please maintain social distancing while inside the office. We have rearranged the interior of the office to make this easy.
