The mission of the McDowell County Correctional Center is to establish fair and consistant supervision of all inmate's. Our goal, if possible, is to release inmate's who are, in some way, improved physically, mentally, educationally, socially, and medically. Our ambition, is that released inmate's will return to society with an attitude that will allow them to pursue the legal opportunities that are available to them.
