Founded April 1st 1964, James F McDaniel started his own Insurance Agency after having been in the Insurance Business for 9 years. Jim’s goal was to provide Personal Insurance with the highest level of professionalism that he possibly could. Married with four children and one on the way would seem like the least likely time to leave the comfort and security of his previous employment but knew that on his own, he could do better. I was four when Dad made this leap of faith and my brother John was born that September. To say we were born into this business is an understatement. For the first many years, Dad worked from home and the ups and downs, good and bad that this industry offered was the source of most dinner time conversations. Jim Sr. retired in 2004 after 50 years in this Insurance Business. John and I have been in this business for more than 35 years and not much, if anything, has changed when it comes to our founding principles. The Insurance Industry is a complex and difficult business to understand. So often these days people are only concerned with the Premium, “how much”, when in fact the coverage that you purchase is much more important and we have strived to help our customers navigate that balance.
