McCarthy & Hamrock, P.C. is a criminal defense law firm serving the people in the Greater Des Moines and West Des Moines area who are facing charges at both state and federal levels. With a combined four decades of criminal justice experience, attorneys Timothy McCarthy and Aaron Hamrock are trial veterans who use their seasoned expertise to fight any criminal allegations their clients are facing, regardless of the severity. As a student at Drake University Law School, Timothy McCarthy developed a deep passion for criminal justice and gained the necessary skills to aggressively defend his clients in the court room. His extensive legal experience and profound understanding for the law lead him to teach at Drake University Law School, at their Trial Advocacy Institute. Tim continues to pass on his knowledge of the law by teaching other lawyers in criminal law seminars. Like Tim, Aaron Hamrock also earned his Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School. With nearly two decades of experience representing those accused of crimes and those seeking compensation for personal injury, Aaron developed a thirst for fighting for justice before a sometimes unfair system. As a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College for DUI Defense, and NORML, among others, he is able to stay up to date on legal happening as well as continue to establish relationships with those in the legal community. Through Tim and Aaron’s active participation in the legal community both inside and outside of the courtroom, they are able to confidently defend clients facing DUI, domestic violence charges, marijuana charges, juvenile offenses and violent crimes, among others. They use their legal expertise and aggressive trial skills to proudly protect the rights of adults and minors across Iowa.
