About our organisation Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME) is the European regional headquarters of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Founded in 1968, we are responsible for the sales, marketing, and distribution of Yamaha Motor products and services, research & development, and manufacturing of parts, engines, drive-units and European developed Yamaha Motor products (motorcycles, scooters and boats). YME is based at Schiphol-Rijk, the Netherlands, where also located are: • Yamaha Motor Europe, branch Benelux, responsible for sales, marketing and distribution for the Dutch, Belgian, and Luxembourg markets; • Our accessories and spare parts logistics centre, serving our network throughout Europe.

Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. (KME) is the European head office representing Kawasaki Motors Ltd of Japan, a company which forms part of one of the most versatile and successful Japanese industrial conglomerates in the world, Kawasaki Heavy Industries. The origins of the Kawasaki group of companies began in 1878, when Shozo Kawasaki founded his own shipyard in Tokyo. The head office of KME is located in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam and the European distribution centre is in Vianen. In total, approximately 125 people work for Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. Local marketing activities and product sales are taken care of by branch offices in several European countries under the umbrella of Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V.
