The Clearspring goal is to get nutritious, organic food back on the kitchen table. To do this we constantly work and play to convert one more acre back to Organic each day. By developing the demand for organic foods and encouraging the cultivation of organic crops by farmers today, we ensure that you and generations to come can enjoy the great taste and benefits of good food. Clearspring is a privately owned UK company established in the 1980s to distribute great tasting traditional foods that support good health; promote sustainable agriculture; and provide economic stability for producer communities. Set up by its current Chairman, Christopher Dawson, in 1993, we celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2023. Clearspring currently distributes over 280 products from around the world, has wholesale customers in the UK, and further wholesale customers in more than 50 countries worldwide. From their west London offices Christopher and his staff travel around the world in search of high quality products that meet Clearspring's exacting standards. Each product is carefully evaluated for purity of ingredients and ecologically sound manufacturing practices. Clearspring looks for products that are GMO free and made with whole organic ingredients. Refined organic ingredients such as organic sugar are not acceptable; Clearspring believes that refining organic foods depletes them of their intrinsic value. Clearspring foods must also be made by traditional methods using time-tested recipes. Indeed, some of the foods Clearspring labels are made using methods and recipes dating back 200 to 500 years or more. In addition to its large selection of traditional Japanese foods, Clearspring has an equally large range of traditional European foods. These include an extensive range of organic cold pressed oils, sugar-free organic fruit purees, organic grains, seeds and almonds.

Borough Market is a source of quality British and international produce, but it is more than just a place to buy or sell food. It’s a place where people come to connect, to share food and awaken their senses. Borough has long been synonymous with food markets and as far back as 1014, and probably much earlier, London Bridge attracted traders selling grain, fish, vegetables and livestock. In the 13th century traders were relocated to what is now Borough High Street and a market has existed there ever since. Borough Market’s mission is to continue to provide a world class food market at Borough for the community of London and beyond. Borough Market is the only fully independent market in London. It is owned by a charitable trust and run by a board of volunteer trustees. The trust is committed to supporting the local community around Borough Market.
