Our legacy is distributing women’s hosiery and today we continue to do so with our leading department and specialty store brand Berkshire ® Berkshire is manufactured in the USA in our own production facility in Burlington, NC. The research and technical design team develops truly unique products using methods that are never based on cost. Berkshire ® is a leader in plus size legwear and is well distributed online and in stores. This go-to brand is here to stay and will only get stronger as it meets the demands of the future while leading the industry. In addition to our wholesale business, we operate a separate but large retail division. We opened our first store in 1972 in Wayne N.J. called The Berkshire General Store. Today we operate 2 brick and mortar stores with a vast On Line business under the banner Essential Apparel. We carry the best brands for men, women & kids including Under Armour, The North Face, Patagonia, Nike, Barbour, Birkenstock, Adidas, Timberland, Wigwam, Columbia, Minnetonka, Levi's, NYDJ & more. MBC is a third generation family run business and an exciting place to work. We're proud to say that many of our employees have been with us for 30, 40 and even 50 years.
