Maya CARE Foundation Information

Founded in 2009, Maya CARE Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering two of the most marginalised sections of society — Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly. Built on a unique and inclusive model, Maya CARE empowers persons with disabilities to support and care for senior citizens, fostering dignity, independence, and community. Maya CARE was established with the vision of providing FREE assistance to senior citizens, enabling them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. What makes our model distinctive is that our operations are led and managed by professionals who have themselves overcome disabilities — demonstrating ability, leadership, and resilience in action. Over the years, Maya CARE has provided medical, emotional, and logistical support to elders across 72 cities in India, 4 cities in the UK and Nepal. Through initiatives like Project Bindu, we also create remote, tech-enabled employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, helping them achieve economic independence and social inclusion. With a strong focus on compassion, accessibility, and impact, Maya CARE continues to expand its reach — building a more inclusive, caring, and equitable society. All Maya CARE services are offered completely FREE of charge.
