Mawarid Mining LLC (“Mawarid”) is actively exploring, mining and processing copper and gold in the Sultanate of Oman. The Mawarid team is highly skilled, providing in-house technical expertise including geological exploration & drilling, project evaluation and planning, mine design and operation and the processing of copper ore to produce high quality concentrates. Mawarid is aggressively expanding its portfolio into th4e international arena, striving to become one of the largest private mining companies in the world. In the last two years, Mawarid has become involved in a number of international projects through direct investment or joint venture arrangements. These include: - Largest shareholder in Nautilus Minierals Inc (TSX – NUS.TO) 28%, exploring and developing the Polymetallic in Solwara 1 Project in Papua New Guinea. - Acquisition of Namibian Marine Phosphates (Pty) Limited developing the Sandpiper Marine Phosphate Project in Namibia. - Joint venture partner in Boke LLP exploring the Boke Gold project in Kazakhstan. - Through the subsidiaray Mawarid Mining Tanzania Limited, exploring for gold at the Chunya and Lunguya Projects in Tanzania. - A number of exploration licence applications in Saudi Arabia. - Joint venture with Havila Mines Limited exploring the Havila Tin & Tantalum Project in Rwanda. Mawarid continues to utilize its in-house team to evaluate projects to further expand its portfolio of exploration and mining assets.
