The technical stack centers on Django REST Framework, Next.js, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, with deep experience in AI/ML integration including GPT-4, Claude, Llama, CLIP embeddings, and RAG systems. Before software, Matt spent years as a commercial fisherman in the Northeast. A 2019 diving accident left him tetraplegic. He spent two years in a nursing home studying software engineering eight hours a day, built his own fundraising platform, raised over $30,000, and moved out to live independently in Hampton Bays.
