I’ve always loved math and science, but I know what it feels like to struggle—especially in high school. When I started falling behind in calculus, my teacher, Ms. Rahman, worked with me tirelessly. She’s the reason I chose engineering and showed me how powerful it is to have someone believe in you before you believe in yourself. That experience shapes how I tutor today: with patience, encouragement, and clear, structured explanations. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to fit each individual; whether that means breaking problems down step by step, using visuals, or reinforcing concepts through repetition. I also encourage students to ask questions freely. Curiosity is essential to learning, and I strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable speaking up and engaging. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lasting appreciation for math and science. I also support students through the college application process. As a first-generation college student, I understand how overwhelming applications, essays, and interviews can feel. I was admitted to the chemical engineering program at every UC campus I applied to—including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC San Diego, and UC Riverside, and was awarded the NROTC scholarship. These experiences taught me how to craft strong essays, communicate my story effectively, and approach interviews with confidence. I now help students do the same—offering guidance on brainstorming, editing, interview preparation, and building well-rounded applications so they feel confident and supported as they take their next steps.
