Material Architects Information

At Material Architects we provide a bespoke and individual service to all our clients irrespective of scale and size of the project. We aim to add value and tailor our services to each and every project. The majority of our work is through referrals or repeat business, which we value and is a reflection on the level of service we provide. A characteristic of a large proportion of the projects is that they are often in a historic setting or sensitive setting, Conservation Areas or a Grade ii/Grade i listed buildings. The Directors have over 25 years of experience designing projects both in London and nationally, notably on award winning projects. Awards have included RIBA, Civic Trust and Local Design awards. A number of the Directors in the practice sit on Local Authority Design Review panels, lecture at schools of Architecture where they also are external examiners. In addition to designing and delivering projects, recent roles have included acting as Design Mentors on some of the largest residential schemes in London and facilitating peer reviews of schemes for developer clients and a number of LPA's. One of the Directors of the practice was recently elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
