MateMachine is building a new social layer for cities: a digital coordination system that gives everyday face-to-face conversation a repeatable structure across city neighborhoods. The system coordinates participation, timing, and familiar public places—helping people connect, put their phones away, and talk face to face. It brings digital coordination, behavioral design, public-space activation, and field operations together in one city-scale model. Following several years of development and field testing in Vancouver, MateMachine, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware to lead its U.S. deployment, beginning with pilots in San Diego and Miami. Our long-term aim is to make conversation a dependable part of everyday city life—so that when someone wants to talk, there is a citywide system for it.
