Mastergen specialises in supplying quality dairy and beef genetics to farmers throughout the UK. The policy at Mastergen is to always provide the best quality genetics at the best value prices. Our average straw prices for dairy and beef semen are among some of the lowest in the UK but the genetic merit of the bulls we sell are among some of the highest. The portfolio of Holstein bulls is predominantly sourced from Masterrind in Germany, one of Europe’s largest farmer owned co-ops. Masterrinds cooperative structure represents over 9000 farmer members with 700,000 milk recorded Holstein cows. Furthermore, Masterrind and its NOG partner currently run the largest Holstein selection program in Europe. Masterrind exports over 3.5 Million doses per year to more than 50 countries. As an exclusive distributor in the UK, Mastergen can provide its customers with exclusive access to a range of more than 200 Holstein sires, including breed leading and world ranking bulls from the best international cow families. Other Holstein bulls are currently supplied by Inseme and Intermizoo in Italy and Aberekin in Spain. Beef semen is mainly sourced from UK breeders, with British Blues in particular from Twyning Ash in Gloucestershire. All bulls will be priced competitively as our ethos is to cut costs out of the supply chain and pass the savings we make on to the farmer. We have no costly reps driving up farm drives and very low overheads. Some of our competitors, who offer additional free services, have no option but to factor the costs of those services in to the semen price, which we believe is unfair to the customer who only requires bull semen. The team at Mastergen have a combined experience in the AI industry of over 40 years having previously worked for Dairy Daughters.
