The Greater Metropolis Convention & Visitors Bureau is a 501 (C) 6 organization, governed by a board of directors comprised of community members and leaders with a vested interest in the growth and development of tourism in Metropolis. Trish Steckenrider, MS is the Executive Director of the organization that was established in 2014 and recognized as the official entity in the City of Metropolis for promoting tourism and conventions within the City and for attracting non-resident overnight visitors to the City. The Mission of the GMCVB is to facilitate development and promotion that will increase tourism for the benefit of the entire greater Metropolis and Massac County area.
