Experiencing architecture, using all the senses. Sensing the space by the size and shape of the spaces, how they sound as you speak, and how the light slides in and bounces around. And then sense the space formed by the building outside, and as you go inside, see also the spaces relate to each other and transition from one to another. Architecture is art. Architecture is a dialogue, between space and senses. At Marvi Mazhar & Associates we as a team of young architects are involved with Heritage Consultancy, Restoration, Conservation, Design, and Renovation. For us heritage is a knowledge, a cultural product and a political resource. Heritage is of fundamental importance to the interests of contemporary cultural and historical geography, which focus on signification, representation and the crucial issue of identity. We document and research tangible and intangible built environments and develop heritage assessment studies to restore and preserve the past. Under Marvi Mazhar & Associates we have Karkhana | Workshop which aims to work on Heritage Awareness Program (HAP), Historic Bungalow Research (HBR), and Creative Initiative (CI).
