The jewelry lines from Martha Seely reflect a personal vision and a clean, modern perspective. Her studio now offers seven collections, each representing the incredible universe in which we live. The jewelry is designed in the USA and artisan-made, using some of the world's most beautiful jewels and pearls. The manufacturing is ethical, the metals recycled and stones conflict-free. Martha is pleased to customize her jewelry for individual retailers and consumer customers. Before becoming a jewelry designer, Martha spent many years as a costume designer and wardrobe stylist for theater, film, and television. She earned her MFA in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University. After years of creating clothes for commercials, television shows, and independent movies for many years, she wanted to express herself, designing for no other reason than to create something beautiful to wear. She turned her talents to accessories, something more intimate than outerwear. This time, her unique designs were from the heart, not just for the commercial project for which she was hired. Following a dream she had in college, she studied with master jewelers, learning traditional metalsmithing techniques. But her designer's vision kept driving her forward. To create the designs she envisioned, she decided to try CAD (computer-aided design) to help her fulfill her goals. This decision changed the way she works and designs. Her work now uses the oldest traditions of jewelry-making combined with the newest technologies to create her line of chic, sophisticated and wearable jewelry. Since 2012 her jewelry has won national acclaim; has been sold in retail shops and galleries across the country and internationally; and at wholesale shows and special events. In 2016, she was chosen to be a Rising Star in the JCK Las Vegas Show. In 2017 she created a designer line using Ammolite, for KORITE International in Canada. In 2018 the studio introduced the LYRA Collection, a convertible earring system that encourages buyers to return multiple time to buy new accent elements. Her jewelry continues to win awards and accolades from the jewelry fashion press. Jewelry that does not follow the trends, but starts them.
