Marquita Bradshaw Information

Marquita Bradshaw will make a bid for the 2024 United States Senate seat in Tennessee. Marquita Bradshaw first ran for Tennessee's open United States Senate seat in 2020 because Ms. Bradshaw knows every American deserves healthy and safe communities across the state and country. In 2020 she made history as the first Black woman to secure a statewide nomination in Tennessee utilizing relational organizing and an environmental justice platform. Marquita Bradshaw is native to South Memphis, Tennessee. Marquita raised her child as a working-class mother while obtaining a degree from the University of Memphis. Marquita is the founder and the current Executive Director of Sowing Justice, dedicated to coalition building, and increasing civic engagement by utilizing citizen science, tools, and resources to create pollution-free communities.
